new year resolutions 2022

Did you already make your new year resolutions? New ones or recycled from last year, which somehow got forgotten? We understand the feeling...

Change is not easy and on top of the intention, it takes time and persistance but it’s possible. Whatever you could not accomplish during this year, you are still on time, just be kind to yourself and take a step at a time. Change starts first within yourself and you will start to notice the impact you have on others around you. This is probably the first step if you want the world to be changed next year.

As Margaret Mead said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

How about including in this years resolutions a list of 12 steps? One for each month, to reduce your ecological footprint, to help the planet, make yourself feel good and spread a positive example around you. You will see the big impact of these small steps.

To give you a hand, here is our list. You are free to choose in which month you want to do it, and of course you can change some of it but what is important is that by the end of the year, you have a greener footprint and understand the benefits in your personal life and around you:

  1. Become vegan, vegetarian or decrease your meat consumption considerably. Or, at least, be a meat free monday person and think about your meat consumption;
  2. Adopt a zero waste perspective: reuse, recycle and reduce;
  3. Don't buy or avoid as much as you can single plastic usage;
  4. Always separate and take the trash for recycling;
  5. Take the used cooking oil to the oil banks in your city for a correct treatment;
  6. Buy from eco-friendly and second hand stores;
  7. Consider a low carbon transportation to move around in your daily life;
  8. Buy local: instead of supermarkets buy from local vendors;
  9. Take walks in parks and squares on your days off instead of going to overconsumption places;
  10. Adopt non toxic products: you can make your own body skin care, your homemade deodorant  or your laundry detergent;
  11. Learn about climate changes in a more profound way;
  12. Have an attentive look at your lifestyle, it's an exercise we all need to do to stop climate changes and live in a better world.

You don’t have to wait for January, you can already start with Christmas and New year celebrations. Are you ready to be the change you want to see in the World?

Have a great green New Year!
