Anatomy of a Street-Tested Bike Bag: Zero Canvas, All Utility
Anatomy of a Street-Tested Bike Bag: Zero Canvas, All Utility

Standard bike gear is often designed for clean, smooth velodromes or weekend park paths. But real urban cycling is chaotic, dirty, and demanding. It requires gear that treats structural integrity as a necessity, not an upgrade.
When we set out to build a genuinely durable bike bag in Portugal, we didn't look at traditional fabrics. We looked at materials that had already survived the elements. Here is a raw breakdown of the anatomy of our upcycled cycling gear—and exactly why it handles the road differently.
The Material Teardown
-
Component 01
Industrial Vinyl Outer Shell
We don’t use cotton or nylon. The main body of our packs is cut entirely from discarded outdoor advertising banners. This material spent months stretching across building scaffolding, taking direct UV rays and heavy downpours. It is naturally non-porous, meaning water, road grime, and mud slide off instantly without soaking through to your cargo.
-
Component 02
Reinforced Webbing & Secure Mounts
Hard plastic brackets snap under tension and scratch your frame. Instead, we utilize heavy-duty, tight-weave tactical webbing for our fastening systems. Positioned strategically to balance weight across your handlebars, frame, or pannier racks, these adjustable straps lock down solid to eliminate sway on rough calçada without wearing down your bike's finish.
-
Component 03
High-Tensile Structural Stitching
A bag is only as strong as its seams. Because upcycled vinyl is incredibly dense, we use heavy-duty industrial needles and thick, weather-resistant nylon threads. Every single anchor point, buckle, and strap loop is double-stitched right in our workshop to prevent blowing out when packed to capacity.
No Two Grits Are Identical
Because the raw graphics come from real, local street banners, you get a completely unique handmade bag. There are no clean, uniform color swatches here. You might get an abstract slice of bold yellow typography, a gritty section of a concert poster, or a minimalist block of industrial monochrome.
But beyond the look, the philosophy is simple: the most eco-friendly accessories are the ones that endure. By giving a second life to heavy-duty materials that were destined for a local landfill, we create cycling equipment that cuts down on waste without ever making you compromise on utility.
Whether you need a streamlined frame bag for daily tools or a high-capacity pannier that snaps onto your rear rack for weekend trips, our gear is built to outlast the trends.
