Old Jeans? No Problem!

Old Jeans? No Problem!

Jeans have been around for almost two hundred years. They’ve become an universal choice, from old-school cowboys to Gen Z boy bands. They’re the delicacy of the most famous fashion icons and the prime preference of those with heavy jobs that don’t pay attention to what is trending and never watched Devil Wears Prada.

Why is that? I’ll tell you why. Besides looking good and having the resilience of an old Nokia 3310, jeans are among one the most comfortable pants ever created. Their durability is unmatched and they’re surprisingly soft when in touch with the skin. The secret ingredient? Denim. To get a stain on this amazing textile fabric, you would actually have to try pretty hard. But enough with the qualities, we all know what I’m going on about. Let's go over what one can do if they have one too many pairs of these godlike pants:

  • You have been following our healthy tips and now you find yourself a couple of kilos lighter. “Oh, no, now my jeans won’t fit” - says you. Well, it’s safe to say that you can adjust your baggy waist jeans with ease! On the other hand, it’s hard to describe the process itself, so have a look at this video to get the perfect guidance on it.
  • Since upcycling is one of our specialties, we had to open this door for you. The number of items you can craft from denim material is close to the number of manmade items that exist overall in the milky way. Am I exaggerating? Leave a comment and change my mind. Anyway, with the right amount of tissue and a sewing machine you can craft: purses, necklaces, bracelets, baskets, pillows, placemats, skirts, laces, flowers, earrings, cute bookmarks, helicopters, and, I kid you not, phone cases (etc.)! Here are 10 Great ideas in the making of some craftables (some already mentioned, included). Have fun!
  • Upgrade by Dip Dyeing! There’s nothing wrong with those pants you bought years ago but you’re just not feeling them anymore, we’ve all been there. So, instead of undergoing the placebo effect of buying another pair, just dye your old jeans and they will be as good as new! From some examples I have seen, I’m going to try this myself, for sure! Learn how to design your Dip Dye Jeans in a few steps over here and enjoy!
If you own one of these vintage goodies and were thinking about tossing them out, now you know! Besides, if you’re still planning on doing it, might as well just give them to someone who needs them. As we know and like to preach, sharing is caring!
