Return Policy


You may return unweared items sold by garbags.com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you have received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).


You should expect to receive your refund within 2-3 weeks of giving your packages to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5-10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3-5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5-10 business days).


If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions on how to return items from your order.


Shipping Policy


Thank you for visiting and shopping at Garbags. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.


Shipment processing time


All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.


If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.


Shipment rates and delivery estimates


Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.


Shipment confirmation & Order tracking


You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.


Customs, Duties, and Taxes


Garbags is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


Damages


Garbags is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.


Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.


Customer Care


Garbags are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the original date of purchase when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, or unreasonable use or neglect. Please keep your receipt.

Who is responsible for processing the data?

The entity responsible for collecting and processing personal data is Garbags providing the service and which, in the specific context decides, always in strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law, which data is to be collected, the processing means for that data and the format and purpose for which they are to be used.


We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We have taken technical and organizational steps to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed by ourselves and our service providers.


Garbags may only collect your data by telephone, in writing or through its websites and applications with your consent. As a rule, personal data is collected when the Client subscribes to one of our services, or when making a purchase order, request contact via our websites or our Customer service.


Some personal data is mandatory and in the event of the absence or insufficiency of such data, Garbags may not provide the product or service concerned. In these cases the Client or user will be duly informed of the mandatory requirement for such data in order to continue the process.


The collected personal data is processed by computer and in strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law. The data is stored in a specific database created for this purpose.

How do we use the cookies?

Where you gave us permission to use your information for a limited purpose, you can contact us to withdraw that consent, but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place at the time.

Garbags is aware that sending personal information is a major concern for Clients using the Internet. We request your credit card data only if you wish to make a payment of a Garbags service or product.


Security provided by the application is SSL (secure socket layer) technology, which encodes communications between your computer and the server so that the data cannot be intercepted. We will not disclose your credit card number or bank account number to the merchant you have paid through Garbags, unless you authorize us to do so.

Under what circumstances is there communication of data to third parties?

Third-party service providers who help us to provide our Services, payment processing services, assist us in providing customised advertising, to assist us with the prevention, detection, mitigation, and investigation of potentially illegal acts, violations of our User Agreement, fraud and/or security breaches, bill collection, affiliate and rewards programs, co-branded credit cards and other business operations. Garbags may reveal your personal information when we need to do so to comply with law, or credit card rules and financial institution policies involved in payment validation and processing procedures through third-party payment gateways.


Garbags seeks to ensure that the contracting of these entities complies with the highest guarantees in terms of security and reputation.


Clients’ or users’ data may need to be kept and communicated for use by the competent authorities if Garbags is notified by these entities to provide such data, in strict compliance with Portuguese legislation.

Security measures adopted by Garbags

Several security measures have been adopted. Garbags is concerned with ensuring the protection and security of the personal data provided it, by implementing the best technical and procedural practices and ensuring that compliance with this is mandatory by all those who legally access the data.


Garbags aims with these measures to ensure that the conditions are in place, within its scope, to protect the personal data in its care from any form of unlawful processing.


Accordingly, the forms for collecting personal data on all our websites and applications require browser encrypted sessions, and all the personal data provided us is stored securely in the Garbags systems. Those systems implement the best technical and procedural security practices to protect your personal data. While we take into account the sensitivity of the Personal Information we collect, process and store, and the current state of technology to use these measures protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by Garbags, we advise all our Clients and users that when accessing the internet they must take additional security measures, including the use of an updated computer and browser in terms of security, and that they exercise caution when using shared computers. They must also not give their login data to other persons when logging in to their personal accounts.

How can you find out about any changes?

Garbags reserves the right to amend the Privacy, security and data protection policy from time to time at its sole discretion and will provide notice by email or on the homepage of the Site when we make material changes to this Privacy and Security Policy prior to the change becoming effective. If as the result of such changes, you want to alter the ways in which Garbags is allowed to use your Personal Information, you can do so by following the procedure described in the section entitled “Right to information and to the correction, deletion and blocking of data”.
